Terms of use
Last updated 7 November 2026
By playing MapPunk or creating an account, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy policy.
Who can play
You must be 18 or older. The game contains violence, crime and adult themes. Everything in it is fiction: places are built from public map data, and names of shops and brands are made-up parodies.
Your account
- Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
- Use a real email address you can read: it's how you get your account back.
- One person per account. Don't sell, buy or share accounts.
Playing fair
- No cheating: no hacks, modified game files, scripts, bots, or abusing bugs to get ahead. If you find a bug, tell us.
- No harassment, hate, threats, spam or sharing other people's personal details in chat or names.
- Don't try to break, overload or get around the game's protections.
We may warn, mute, reset, suspend or delete accounts that break these rules, and remove cash or items gained unfairly.
In-game money and items
In-game cash, items and rank have no real-world value, can't be exchanged for real money, and belong to the game. We may change the game's prices, items and rules, or reset progress, to keep it fair and fun. If we ever sell items for real money, the terms of that sale will be shown before you pay.
The game
MapPunk is provided as it is. We work to keep it running, but it may have bugs, downtime or changes, and features may come and go. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for losses from using it.
The game's code, art and content belong to its makers. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, under the ODbL.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. The new version goes on this page with a new date, and playing after that means you accept it. Questions: support@mappunk.com.
